Little Flowers

A journey in spoken word and song

Cast: Daniel Zappi with Justin Butcher, Francesca Power
Writer: Daniel Zappi

Little Flowers is a song cycle and recital by Anglo-Italian singer-songwriter, actor, and director Daniel Zappi. Performed in both Italian and English, it celebrates the life and legacy of St. Francis of Assisi through a rich blend of original music, acting, and spoken word. The piece draws inspiration from The Little Flowers of St. Francis — a 14th-century collection of stories and anecdotes about the saint and his early community.

The performance is brought to life by Daniel Zappi himself, alongside acclaimed British actor, director, and award-winning author Justin Butcher, and celebrated British singer and actress Francesca Power.

Through a mix of storytelling and song, the show explores themes that still resonate today: poverty and humility, central to the Franciscan way of life, as well as a deep love of nature and animals, mysticism, miracles, peace, and reconciliation.

Suitable for all ages. The show runs for approximately 70 minutes and is performed bilingually, in both Italian and English.
