‘An excellent performance. Engaging and true to the text’
Cast: Rupert Mason
Sound Design: Nick Sagar
Writer: Robert Louis Stevenson
Completely faithful to the text with no added characters or scenes, for the most part using the author’s own words and avoiding the clichés of smoking potions, hairy hands and behind-the-sofa transformations this new adaptation of Stevenson’s dark fable is excellent revision for those studying the book. Alternating between Utterson’s narrative and Jekyll’s ‘Statement of the Case’ this one man show will enthral and challenge young audiences in equal measure.
Performed in full, period costume on a Victorian set, with ingenious, atmospheric lighting and sound effects. Q&A can be added if desired.
